Since the beginning of 2017, i think it's safe to say that i have been sweating quite a bit. I have always been prone to breakouts, especially post-workout if i don't wipe my skin with a moist towel or do a full blown wash all-together. This January i went through the Flywheel Sports instructor training (exciting), and that meant that my skin went through a whole lot of sweating, and not a whole lot of begging for some tender love and care. Yesterday, i decided to make my own coffee scrub which left my skin extra soft, smooth and moisturized.
Ingredients and benefits:
Ground Coffee: Serves as an exfoliator to remove dead skin cells. It also helps with skin tightening, clarification, softening, anti inflammation and anti oxidation.
Coconut Sugar: Works to further exfoliate along with the coffee grounds for smooth and tight skin. I personally used coconut sugar but any sugar works fine for this scrub.
Coconut Oil: Coconut oil is a natural antibacterial and anti fungal. It is also extremely great for moisturizing and is jam-packed with different vitamins and minerals to leave your skin feeling silky smooth!
Cinnamon: This ingredient is extremely underrated! Not only does it help to stimulate your blood vessels, making your skin look more plump and reducing fine lines and wrinkles, it also helps to soften and soothe dry skin, prevent acne and has anti-aging properties.
Mix the following quantities into a bowl:
Once you have all your ingredients mixed together to form one scrub, get into a tub or area that is easy to clean and exfoliate away!
